Please note that the payment device should only be enrolled from the restaurant admin panel. Follow the instructions below for a quick and easy installation.
To begin the installation of the payment device, start in the restaurant admin panel -> Setup -> Point of Sale -> Workstations section, like this:
Check the back of your device, find the serial number, insert it in this field and then click Validate device:
Once the validation is performed, you will receive a confirmation message that the payment device is ready to be associated with your location:
Connectivity
Make sure that the payment device is connected to the POS workstation using the included cable, as shown in the connectivity screen:
Open the cover on the back of the terminal, attach the 28-pin connector of the USB-A cable to the terminal, close the cover, and tighten the cam lock screw. Plug the USB connector into one of the corresponding USB-A ports of the workstation.
Check that the network connection is successful and that the payment device is connected successfully to the workstation:
View Network Diagnostics
- Press 9 followed by the Confirm key (o) or Settings from the main screen.
- Press Diagnostics.
- Press PSP Connection. If successful, you can view the diagnostics. If it failed, make sure that the payment device is properly connected to the workstation and the workstation is connected to the network and internet.
- To exit to the main screen, press the Cancel key (x) four times.
From the Overview section of the payment device get the IP address displayed there and insert it into the dedicated field within the restaurant admin panel. Note: Your IP address might be different than the one in the image below.
Next, board the terminal by following the steps in the screen below.
Board the terminal
1.Select Board the terminal. If Board the terminal is not shown and the terminal has recently been reassigned, wait until its assignment status is complete.
2. Select your location and then press Confirm key (o).
The terminal restarts one or more times and then the terminal is ready to process payments.
If you are prompted to select from a list of stores on the payment terminal, do not select anything. Just wait until the Board Terminal screen is updated and displays one single store - yours - that was assigned when you followed the steps in the restaurant admin panel.
Reload database as instructed:
Reload the database and initiate a reboot for all workstations
- Sign in to the workstation to start the database reload process.
- Click on Manager Procedures.
- Click Reload Database and then confirm by clicking Yes.
- After the reload is complete, sign out of the workstation.
- Reboot the workstation by turning it off and then back on using the power button.
Once these steps are completed, the payment device should display as Installed.
