Explore the right solutions for your type of business. Whether it is a bakery, a fine dining restaurant or a tavern, by choosing the optimal operation style for the workstation, this will ensure faster and more accurate order-taking.
The selection of the operation style is required in the Restaurant basics -> Setup -> Operation Style section so that the workstation could open by default with this layout:
The workstation layout can be changed later, directly in the workstation, like this:
Quick Service style
The Quick Service operation style is appropriate for locations like coffee shops, bakeries, ice cream shops and food trucks.
It is designed to allow rapid order intake like this:
- The menu items are easy to identify: each menu category is matched with a specific color so that, within days, the color association will make it easier for the staff to operate the workstation faster.
- There is no homepage: the sign in page leads directly to the Transactions page.
- Across the top the order type can be changed just by clicking on its name.
Upsell is also possible since managers can easily see and promote menu specials.
Table service style
Whether in a fine dining or a fast casual restaurant, it is now easier to know who ordered what and provide a smooth customer experience.
In this workstation layout:
- servers can now assign a particular dish to each seat number at the table.
- when servers finished their shift, a new server can be assigned to the guests’ table. This workstation layout also shows a quick overview of all open transactions, including who is attending the table and for how long they’ve been transacting.
- when food clients need to leave the restaurant in a hurry, instantly change their order type, from dine-in to take out.
Bar style
This layout is ideal for pubs, nightclubs, bars, breweries, and taverns. The Bar workflow provides speed of service for a busy bar, ensuring that bartenders and servers can identify menu items quickly and focus on customer service.
This workstation layout enables managers and servers to instantly find menu items based on automatically assigned colors and the latest promotions with which to present food clients.
