POS - messages and warnings

As part of the onboarding stage of your workstation, you will be guided through a network connection setup. During this stage you might encounter these error messages. Let us see how you can approach these.

Troubleshoot onboarding networking warnings

  1. If the restaurant’s network configuration is blocking access to oracle.com or restaurantlogin.com, the restaurant owner will get a Failed message:

Please check network settings to grant access to these domains and try again. You can also try to restart the workstation.

2. After connecting to the online ordering restaurant account and finishing the prompted steps on the screen, the download of the latest software version and installation on the workstation begins.

If installation fails, retry the download and installation:

If you want to go through all the workstation installation steps again and see the entire process, check this article.

Unsent Checks warning

The Unsent Checks warning messages appear as a translucent yellow banner at the top of all pages outside a transaction. This warning appears on workstations for Table Service, Quick Service, and Bar operations when the device is offline and cannot post a check to the cloud. The warning messages appear by default and cannot be switched off.

They do not appear when a transaction is in progress so as not to distract from, or slow down the order taking process.
The warnings make the server aware of an issue so that they can either move the device back into network range or alert a manager that there is a connection issue.

The warning messages show the number of unsent transactions on the device so that when a solution is found, servers can see the number decrease and know that the issue has been resolved.
